Notes For Parents
We have reached the half way point of the year and we have seen great progress with many of your children. We ask that you continue to encourage them in their studies. Please be mindful to check your child's agenda book nightly to look for any upcoming events or news.
Goals for the Year
Our main goal for the year is to ensure that all students leave second grade equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in 3rd grade. This includes a mastery of basic mathematical concepts and reading 90 words a minute.
About the Teacher
Hi, I'm Larry Delgado I graduated from Wesley College in 2007 with a Bacholers of Science in Elementary Education. This is my second year as a teacher here at the Academy of Dover.

Homework
For the week of February 22 there will be no spelling homework. We are preparing for the DSTP during our Language Arts time.
In place of working with spelling words students are to read for 30 minutes at home.
For math there will be a math handout each night.

Classroom Rules and Expectations
Students are expected to follow the P.B.S. rules at all times. Students are to be safe, respectful, and responsible at school. This includes raising your hand, being respectful of your classmates and staff, following directions, no hitting, do not steal from others, be honest, and trying your best.
